Every year we find ourselves celebrating special occasions like birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries, and at the end of each year, we find ourselves with an overflowing box full of greeting cards that we have no idea where to store. Luckily, I have a solution for you. I’ve come up with five simple ways to turn your greeting cards into everyday home décor that will have your home looking stylish and leave you feeling guiltless because you won’t ever throw away a card again!
Here’s 5 quick and simple ways how:
Hanging up your birthday cards using twine or any string-like item you can find around the house is super easy. You can use small paper clips, pins, or even double sided tape to attach each card to the string! You can hang this up in your bedroom, office, or even the living room. This look is super trendy and is often featured in many home décor magazines.
Framing your old birthday cards is a great way to show family and friends that their cards mean a lot to you and it’s also a unique way to decorate your home. Some birthday cards are extremely aesthetically pleasing so finding a place for them in your home will be no problem!
Creating a collage out of different cards is a really fun arts and crafts project! Take your favourite cards and cut around them in different shapes. You can also cut out the special words written by some of the closest people in your life and use them in your collage as well. When you’ve got a pile of cut outs simple glue them to a sheet of paper and frame it. A perfect idea for your children’s bedrooms!
Purchase an album big enough to fit different sized cards and start assembling. Feel free to have fun with the way in which you organize your album. This is a great way to keep the memories of your birthday’s and special occasions alive.

With so many old decorations coming out of your storage boxes for the holiday season, it’s time to make some new ones by purchasing clear ornaments to decorate them with your birthday cards. Simply cut out a piece of a card, and place it inside the ornament. You can also add some glitter for a little extra sparkle. Viola!
So go on and choose whatever stylish way you want to recycle your greeting cards. You’ll free up a little storage space and add some flare to your home. Get crafting and talk to you soon.
