How to Throw the Best Summer Backyard Party

It’s summer time and you know what that means: patios & backyard parties…lots of them. If you haven’t already found yourself at a backyard party or patio bar this summer I’m sure you will and if you don’t have anything lined up well, why not plan your own summer backyard party?

Here are a few backyard party must-dos to make yours the best one of the summer:

1. A Theme.

Having a theme is essential to throwing an awesome backyard party. Have fun with bright summer decorations or get creative with some DIY projects.

2. A Great Playlist.

Whether your crowd is into 90s music or current Top 40s, cater your music to everyone. Make a playlist beforehand so you won’t be scrambling for songs during your party.

3. Refreshments.

It’s hot and people want cool, refreshing drinks. Whether your serving alcoholic mixed drinks or fun summer smoothies, make sure you set up a little refreshments station…it’ll be a hit.

4. Delicious Summer Snacks and BBQ Foods.

What’s a backyard party without a BBQ? Not only does the smell of a BBQ draw people in but it’s also a fun way to make your food.

5. Mosquito Repellent.

Don’t let mosquitos ruin the night, try incorporating some of natural elements to keep those uninvited guests away.  Using essential oils or even specific plants can deter the bugs and doesn’t hurt them.
