Quick and Easy Summer Hairstyles

Hello summer! From beach days and pool parties to weekends at the cottage, summer brings many wonderful moments to spend with our families and friends. One minor downside of the summer can be the heat…on our hair and finding ways to quickly and easily style it. But not to worry, as always Alison Gordon Studio has got it all figured out.

Get your hair into that summer state of mind with these quick and easy hairstyles:

Clips

This nostalgic and fashionable hair trend is back and it’s here to stay this summer. Snap your bangs to the side with a pair of colourful and/or decorated clips. It’s easy as 1-2-clip. Check out these adorable vintage clips on Etsy.

The High Ponytail

The high ponytail is an all-time classic that makes for a great and easy hairstyle on those extra hot summer days. Straighten, curl or braid your ponytail and voila! Ariana Grande rocks it and so can you.

Silky-twist

A fun way to style your hair is to use accessories. Intertwine your favourite silk scarf into a hair braid or use it to tie your hair. Check out Luxy Hair for this awesome tutorial on how-to scarf your braid.

The Wet Look

If you can’t be bothered with spending more than 15 minutes on your hair then think about the wet look for a sleek, edgy and sophisticated style. All you need is some mousse or gel and a great outfit to match. The wet look can be difficult to achieve for some of us with stubborn hair, we have found a great how-to for Kim Kardashian’s gorgeous hair at the 2019 Met Gala.

Beach Waves

Everyone loves that “I just got back from the beach” look. To achieve a head of beachy waves (without actually going to the beach) invest in a good sea salt spray (our reco is Kristen Ess, Beach Wave Spray) or create some loose curls with your hair curler and brush them out.
